My brother went to sign up for the Airforce without telling my family. When our family found out about it they were really upset and didn’t want anything to do with him......I was totally fine with my brother joining the military and was excited for him. I tried to explain to my family that since he had already signed the contract and everything that it would be impossible for him to just walk away from it all. When I was talking to a friend that had already in the military they explained to us what happened to his cousin that if he didn’t show up to his assigned station for basic training and AIT  on the right date that he would be considered “A-wall” and they will put a bad recorded under his name, and that will affect his future life. Once we both explained to my parents what was happening and all the great opportunities he had for himself they finally decided to sit down and have a talk with my brother, before everything was over with the family all came to an agreement that they all supported his idea and his dream.
